The The Salvation Army of Michigan City received a grant to hold their third annual container gardening class. The class offers gardening lessons to clients, many with no gardening experience.
Most clients are limited in their space for growing produce. Also, few of them have any experiencing in gardening. They are taught how to plant and grow produce in containers, which can be as simple as using a plastic bucket.
The class has been very popular, and the Salvation Army of Michigan City is hoping to increase the class size and continue the project annually.
